Teethwhite
Prospectus

The
Concept
Teethwhite
is emerging as the leading cosmetic teeth whitening company in the UK
. We supply a range of products and services to the dental and beauty
industries and direct to the public through our network of self employed
mobile technicians.
We
have plans to grow our brand throughout the UK and to the rest of Europe
and beyond. Technicians will purchase a mobile laser teeth whitening
system and will service the beauty industry by performing laser whitening
treatments in venues such as beauty salons, health clubs and pharmacies.
The
Market Potential
Increasingly
people are exploring new ways to enhance their appearance and teeth
whitening is now one of the most common and easiest ways to look years
younger without resorting to drastic measures.
Traditionally
teeth whitening procedures were performed by dentists but this has changed
since teeth whitening products were classified as cosmetics in 2001.
The
British Association of Cosmetic Dentistry reported that 26% of UK adults
have had cosmetic dentistry with 31% of these undergoing a tooth whitening
treatment. This means that 3.8 million people have had a tooth whitening
treatment and industry analysts predict that the demand for teeth whitening
procedures is set to grow by an amazing 40% year on year. The prospects
are therefore excellent for those entering the industry.
History
and background
Teethwhite
began in May 2002 as a supplier of teeth whitening kits to the beauty
industry and direct to the public.
It
was evident from its first 6 months of trading that the beauty industry
was not quite ready for teeth whitening so all efforts in the first
3 years were concentrated on Dentalwhite, a sister brand of Teethwhite.
Dentalwhite is now a highly regarded, specialist whitening brand exclusively
available to dentists.
Over
the years Teethwhite's range of products and services has grown from
home kits to offering laser teeth whitening services and a host of additional
maintenance products.
In
the last 3 years the public has embraced the teeth whitening revolution
and efforts are once again concentrated on the beauty side. This demand
has been driven by TV programmes like “10 years younger” and “Make Me
Beautiful” and turnover in 2006 had risen by 400% on 2005.
Strengths
and Stability
Teethwhite
has developed strong links with eminent dentists and scientists through
its association with Dentalwhite such as Professor Van Haywood who is
widely regarded as the godfather of bleaching. Teethwhite is committed
to continual research and development and to bringing our technicians
and their clients the very best teeth whitening products and protocols.
Tooth
whitening products were legally classified as cosmetics in 2001 and
therefore are more appropriate in the beauty industry than in the dental
industry. Teethwhite has spent a considerable amount of time, effort
and legal expense in establishing the correct way to perform teeth whitening
treatments within the realms of the law using products that have been
tested and deemed safe by UK authorities.
